GANG OF HI-TECH FRAUDSTERS WHO USED TO CHEAT GULLIBLE PEOPLE ON PRETEXT OF PROVIDING JOB BUSTED BY PS CYBER ROHINI: TWO ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED

With the arrest of one Zuber Khan, aged 33 years r/o Haldwani, Uttrakhand and (2) Anil Sharma, aged 37 years r/o Uttam Nagar, Delhi the Cyber Police Station, Rohini has busted a gang of hi-tech criminals who used to cheat gullible people on pretext of providing jobs in various private companies.
INCIDENT
One Rajesh Kumar filed a complaint at NCRP portal regarding cheating on the pretext of providing job. He mentioned in his complaint that he uploaded his resume on various online job portals. Later, he got a call from a lady who conducted after and subsequently, scheduled the interview of the complainant for job placement in private companies. The caller also gave him the address for interview at NSP, Delhi office. Accordingly, the complainant visited the given office where his interview was conducted and as he cleared the interview, a job confirmation letter was handed over to the complainant. Further, Rs. 6500/- were taken from the complainant as security deposit and he was told to join the job after their call. After few days, the complainant enquired about interview schedule in the concerned company for the job. But the complainant was neither provided job nor the money returned to the complainant. On the basis of said complaint and preliminary enquiry, a case vide FIR No. 102/22 u/s 420 IPC was registered at PS Cyber Rohini and investigation of the case was taken up.

Accordingly, a raid was conducted at Netaji Subhash Place office where 08 ladies and 02 gents were found present. On interrogation, they disclosed that they are employee of one Zuber Khan. Two of the ladies informed that they have been hired for the post of Supervisor whereas the remaining girls are working as tele-callers.
On sustained interrogation, the accused Zuber Khan disclosed that he used to work as soft skill trainer in Vodafone at Okhla where he was assigned the task of contacting Consultancy Services for hiring employees. At that period, he came in touch with several placement agencies and learnt their trade.
As he learnt their trade, he hatched a conspiracy and hired some of the expert employees of these placement agencies and started his own setup of illegal placement agency about 5-6 months back wherein he used to charge money from the candidates in garb of providing job to them.
In order to attract maximum candidates, he has setup a separate team who used to check the profiles of job seekers from various online job portals like shine.com, naukri.com etc. and contact them, telephonically. Thereafter, they used to direct aspiring candidates to the office at Netaji Subhash Place where one of the Supervisor ladies used to conduct his interview and provide a Job confirmation letter and charge Rs. 5000 to 10,000, based upon the profile of the candidate.
