Pritam Roy is one of the most popular dynasties of Uber Bengal. Pritam Roy and his team from Kochbihar are making a fuss by uploading one Bhavaya song and funny video after another in Rajbangshi language on YouTube. He has found a new way to earn by using social media. Apart from making new funny short videos, Rajbangshi has become a role model to the ‘Zen-Y’ of the Rajbangshi community by performing Rajbangshi songs. At present, his songs are spread all over the state including North Bengal, Assam, neighboring Bangladesh and Nepal. Millions of people now enjoy watching his videos on YouTube. The number of 1 million subscribers on YouTube has recently got the ‘Silver Play Button’. Apart from Rajbangshi songs, he also performed several Bengali songs.

Pritam’s monthly income is 30-32 thousand rupees. And at present he earns 3 lakh 60 thousand to 4 lakh rupees a year.

He has just graduated in Mathematics from Kochbihar College. Making fun videos with friends in college leisure time started in early 2020. But in such a short time, millions of people will like his video, Pritam never thought.
Bajimat made one video after another during Corona Atimari and uploaded it on Facebook and YouTube.
With the ‘Silver Play Button’ in hand, Pritam said that his collaborators Ipsita Barman, Shreya Adhikari, Prerna Das, Shubhamoy Karji, Mrigankamouli Barman, Shubhankar Barman, Vijay Roy have performed several Bhavaya songs. In his words, “I used to make videos in the space of reading and upload them on ‘Pritam Roy’s’ Facebook page and ‘Pritam Roy’s Creation’ YouTube channel.” Besides acting, he also sings. Recently sung and acted in his voice ‘Jochna Rati Chander Alo Dujane Karim Dekha’, ‘Area Chengri Eta Chalak Mui Ta Janong Na’ is a hit in North Bengal. Besides, songs like ‘O Mai Sundari’, Goalpariya of Assam, Bhavaya of North Bengal, ‘Tor Kotha Monat Pade’ etc. have also received great response from the audience. Pritam Roy, a child of a middle class family, has always been a meritorious student. Father Prashant Roy is a lab technician by profession and mother Parvati Barmanrao is an Anganwari worker. Although Adibari is empty, my father has been living in Kochbihar for a long time. The whole Roy family is happy with the son’s success. They also help the boy in this work. Pritam knows that his goal is to take Rajbangshi language and culture forward. Apart from rescuing the glory of Bhavaya songs, this initiative is to present new songs in Rajbangshi language to the audience by composing and performing new songs.
